Miami, FL: Wynwood Art District (Pics X Links: inside post)

While browsing through some of the other blogs that I read and get influence from I came across a post on "high snobiety" about the Wynwood Art wall. The pictures are dope and show the diversity of the Miami culture mixed with the influence of the various artists.

A few months ago LymLife visited and did a feature on the art district in Wynwood. Although it is not the best of neighborhoods it has some of the most unique and intriguing street/urban art done by some of the world's greatest graffiti artists. It features an eclectic variety of themes and even has a section done by popular urban wear company, Obey.

Forget the Season just give....

Wats popping yall? Now that you have had your turkey, done your black friday shopping and are back in the swing of things i suggest at a very convenient time (sometime soon) you all should take an opportunity to clear out your closets and donate whatever you will be getting rid of to the " LYMLIFE Christmas Clothing Drive" We will be taking clothes from now up until the 23rd of December. The clothes will be donated to less fortunate families for the holiday season. So please contact us through twitter @lymliving or directly through the blog with your clothes donations. Also if you use email please send it to joshlym28@gmail.com and we will workout some kind of pickup. If your not in the giving spirit then i suggest you go to your local library rent and read through one of my favorite books

and get in the giving spirit. Don't be a selfish fortunate soul, if your doing fairly well (meaning you have shelter, food, and clothing) then share the wealth. Together we stand and divided we fall so this season lets warm hearts and bodies with some donated clothing. Thank you in advance and happy holidays.

The famous and world renowned street artist Banksy has done it again. His latest piece has been spotted in London, England this time. It shows a shopper plummeting to the ground from a multi-level building, it gives a new meaning to "shop till you drop".

So everyone's has been buzzing about the new FPS games to drop recently, Battlefield 3 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. Now imagine if you could immerse your self fully into the game instead of just sitting at home in front of the TV. Well if you have about $650,000 lying around you could be the lucky owner a brand new, full 360 degree simulator that allows you to control the character based on your body movements and shoot/neutralize targets your self. Sidenote: they should've used Modern Warfare 3 instead, call me biased but with the game about to reach $1 Billion dollars in sales it's showing which one is superior.

In life we all have to make hard decisions some harder than others. Live righteous, live true, and make sure you are able to live with all your decisions. LYMLIFE does mean leave your mark  life but it also means Love your mother life. Moms are a detrimental part of our lives appreciate them and cherish them. "Live simply so others can simply live".

Hustler's Diet Pt. 1

After being inspired by Ghostface Killah and his sector called "The World According to Pretty Toney" I decided to start my own food section on the blog. So here it goes:
This is a simple meal anyone could make and it applies to many different situations. If your running low on cash, your bread is going bad, or you are just in need of some good Ol' fashioned French Toast this recipe is for you.
Ingredients:
2-3 eggs
A dash of Milk (or soy milk if you have)
Cinnamon
4 Slices of Bread
Oil for greasing pan
peanut butter
Pancake syrup

Instructions

Beat the eggs and add some milk to make a nice watery mixture. 

Then heat your pan on medium with a light layer of oil.(We aren't deep frying it)

Dip the bread into the eggs mixture  and make sure to get both sides of the bread.

Then lightly sprinkle cinnamon on both sides. 

Then fry til golden brown on both sides and serve. Repeat till all your pieces are done.

The peanut butter is optional. You can spread it between slices and make a nice little stack then add syrup on top and enjoy. 

There you have it an easy recipe for any and everyone. Enjoy and keep it LYM.

For those of you who haven't heard ASAP Rocky is now. Not next up, right F@#%ing now. We here at LYMLIFE been bumping ASAP since the beginning of summer. With his fairly new release LOVE LIVE A$AP out and his intense popularity increase on the internet ASAP rocky and his group have begun to surface. They are showing up almost everywhere. With Harlem background and heavy Houston influence they cannot be denied. I respect this hustle and I straight up vibe with their music. If you looking for some new flava in ya ear or just want to bang some trill ish then go get the album. All I gotta say is Hip Hop is alive and right now it resides in ASAP. We not talking the conscious all positive message, we talking a man making the best of his environment and presenting it in a manner which pleases the ear. Honestly America its something new and its fresh. Don't just take my word for it get on it and keep it LYM!

The Marathon Continues

The second installment of "The Marathon" has been out for some time now and I finally have the opportunity to sit down and give my review of the album as a whole.

As usual Nipsey brings straight heat to the our ears. I been bumping Westcoast music since my ear had a taste for hip hop, but this album can cross any and all boundaries. I won't lie i wasnt expecting Nipsey's music to grow and spread in this manner but i must say i ain't mad at it. From motivational to influential to plain old tell it like it is tracks this album covers it all. It is the new soundtrack to the "hussle". Excellent transition from "The Marathon". I would give you a run down song by song but i'd rather you go get your own opinion of it. In my opinion if you are on your grind and you going through your ups and downs of life and you feeling run down you should definetly get this album pop it in and prepare to be re-energized. Nipsey's music is nothing less than absolute truth. He truly lives up to his name Hussle.  The man grinds hard musically and his fans see and respect his hustle. If you grinding and you ain't bumping Nipsey then its time to find a new day job because Nipsey embodies the struggle whether you pushing rocks or on your academic marathon this album is for you. Dont take my word for it go ahead and give it a listen. Keep grinding and keep LYMing Nipsey.

I really want to apologize about this long overdue post I have been on my academic grind hardcore but with some help from the LYMLIFE fam i can guarantee a more consistent posting schedule. With our LYMLIFE bands and shirts in rotation the movement is going through another surge of realization. Our winter line is in the works and our site is under some construction but we are still moving forward. We appreciate all the continued support and we welcome the new supporters.

For the newbies I want to officially welcome you to the LYMLIFE! More than just a clothing line we are the facilitators of your dreams. Our dream is to see you acheive your dreams. LYMLIFE is the not the act of selling a lifestyle, but living in a way which inspires others. LYMLIFE is the embodiment of your idea, struggle, and triumph over the obstacles in which dreamers face in today's world. In the world today kids are encouraged to fall into place but LYMLIFE is the action of breaking out of this caste system. We must refuse this fate and fight for our dreams.
